ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

February 29, 2016

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 29^th day of February 2016 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

Chairman Rush called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of February 22, 2016.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Rev. Billy Kryger was in attendance but did not wish to address the Commissioners.

 

Appointments:

Doug McKinney and Scott Moore, North Central Planning Commission, went over the projects that the Planning Commission is currently involved in and the locations.  The Weatherization Program helps 6 to 8 low income families in Ellsworth County by making their home energy efficient.  They also work with Health Departments, Homeland Security and businesses.

 

Larry Langerman, Dustin Neuman, Bob Kepka and Mark Breford, Ellsworth County Fire Chiefs, want the Ellsworth County Clerk to start issuing burn permits in Ellsworth County.  This will make residents aware of the rules they must follow to have an open fire in the County.  Mr. Shepack will work on the wording for the permits, resolution and rules.

 

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Commissioner Oller moved to approve Abatement 2015-167 in the amount of $116.18.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Oller moved to approve the February payroll for $216,123.46.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Oller moved to approve the February accounts payable for $108,942.68 plus pre-written warrants for $23,913.92 for a total of $132,856.60.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

Chairman Rush adjourned the meeting at 11:30 a.m.
