ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

December 21, 2015

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 21^st day of December 2015 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

Chairman Oller called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of December 14, 2015.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve Abatement 2015-15 for $274.46.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve Ellsworth High after Prom donation of $100.00.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Rev. Billy Kryger was in attendance but did not wish to address the Commissioners.

 

Appointments:

Ronda Kasiska, Ellsworth County Health Department Supervisor, let the Commissioners know that she will need to pay KIPHS another $266.61 this month since her Patagonia is not ready.  The Commissioners want Ronda to ask Patagonia why County should have to pay KIPHS for another month if Patagonia is at fault.  Then Ronda asked if her part time employees could still get a raise.  The Commissioners told the County Clerk to check out the budget for 2016 and see if we could get a raise and still be with in the budget.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to go into executive session to discuss non-elected personnel with Rick Soukup, EMS Paramedic.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Commissioners returned to open session at 9:40 a.m. with no action taken.

 

Rod Rees, Ellsworth County EMS Director, brought in accounts to write off for December 2015.  Commissioner Rush made a motion to approve write offs in the amount of $5, 573.20.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0. 

 

Dusti Cason and Nicolette Unruh, Midway Extension Agents, came in to give the quarterly update.  They went over upcoming events from their flyer.  They also let the Commissioners know that Jamie Rathbun, Extension Agent, helped 154 individuals with their Medicare enrollment.

 

Unison Site Management, wanted to discuss seeking new clients for a cell tower.  The Commissioners informed him that we do not own the land that the tower he was asking about.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

Chairman Oller adjourned the meeting at 11:30 a.m.
