ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

October 26, 2015

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 26^th day of October 2015 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Oller called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Minutes of October 19, 2015.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner decided not to impose burn ban but they would discuss again next Monday, November 2, 2015.

 

Commissioner Kueser made a motion to pay for the employee's flu shot after their insurance payment.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

No one was present for the Open Forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Roger Masse, Ellsworth County Hospital Administrator, went over the Hospital's income statement.  Then Mr. Masse went over his administrative report with the Commissioners and told them they are getting all their corrections made regarding compliance with the Life Safety Codes.

 

Tracy Ploutz, Ellsworth County Sheriff, told the Commissioners it will cost $6,419 for City Plumbing to replace air conditioner downstairs and fix air conditioner upstairs. At the request of Sheriff Ploutz, Commissioner Kueser moved to go into executive session at 9:54 a.m. to discuss non-elected personnel.  At 10:10 a.m., Commissioners returned to regular session with no action taken.

 

Amy Boxberger, Central Kansas Community Corrections, brought a former Community Corrections inmate to meet with Commissioners to tell his success story from the community corrections program.  Next, Amy presented the year end outcomes report.  Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the year end outcomes report for the Kansas Community Corrections.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Oller adjourned the meeting at 11:00 a.m.
