MINUTES

 

September 8, 2015

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 8th day of September 2015 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Oller called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Minutes of August 31, 2015.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve abatements 2014 363, 364 and 365 for a total of $335.58.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve added tax, 2014 366 for $24.04

 

Rev. Billy Kryger was in attendance but did not wish to address the Commissioners.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Rod Rees, EMS Director, would like to bring back the on-call time that was stopped when the department went to 24 hour shifts.  He is having a hard time getting a second ambulance staffed.  Commissioner Rush asked if that would help with overtime because the employees are receiving too much overtime.  Rod said that there was too much overtime because he didn't have enough part-time employees to fill in the shifts.

 

Carl Miller, Ellsworth County Appraiser, came in to see if Commissioners had any questions about Rob Fillion's appointment last week.  They discussed the Neighborhood Revitalization Program and its effects on Ellsworth County.

 

Rick Nondorf, Road and Bridge Supervisor, let the Commissioners know that the new fuel tank had problems with the old wiring.  They pulled the wiring out and they will fix it, but it will take at least a week to fix.
