ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

October 19, 2015

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 19^th day of October 2015 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Oller called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of October 12, 2015.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

On October 14, 2015, the Commissioners had an informal meeting with the new contact from Smoky Hill Wind farm, Mark McMillin.  Also, in attendance were Marcus Krembs, Jeff Riles, Jason Martinson and Kimberly Svaty.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Keith Haberer, Emergency Management Director, presented the Ellsworth County Emergency Operations Plan.  Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Ellsworth County Emergency Operations Plan.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.  Keith then suggested that if Ellsworth County does not get the rain predicted later this week that they should consider putting a burn ban on next Monday, October 26, 2015.  Commissioners agreed that if there was no rainfall in the County this week they would need to put a burn ban into effect next Monday.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Oller adjourned the meeting at 10:30 a.m.
