ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

August 24, 2015

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 24^th day of August 2015 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Oller called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda with an addition.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Minutes of August 17, 2015.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Shawn Estrel, Environmental Sanitarium, reported his Monthly Performance Report for Ellsworth County.  He told them he is trying to get the word out that when there is a sales transaction on property in Ellsworth County they need to get permits from his office. 

 

Rick Nondorf, Road & Brildge Supervisor, told the Commissioners if they continue to not increase his budget at least to cover the rising cost in materials, he will not be able to take care of County roads correctly.  Road & Bridge and Commissioners are receiving complaints about roads.  So he wanted Commissioners to understand that his budget is short and sometimes they do all the work on the roads and it does not work or weather ruins their efforts. 

 

Roger Masse, Ellsworth County Hospital Administrator, said that the Fire Marshall Inspection had zero '0' finds.  Mr. Masse talked about the continuing efforts to deal with Medicare, State and Federal issues, because these entities are trying to put some burden on administration and it will put 300 rural hospitals at high risk.

 

Alejandra Juarez, Blue Cross & Blue Shield Consultant, let the Commissioners know that as of January 1, 2016 the merits rating will make Ellsworth County be considered a large company.  She is willing to help Ellsworth County with any questions or concerns even though our insurance is through state.
