ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

August 31, 2015

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 31^st day of August 2015 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Oller called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Minutes of August 24, 2015.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Rob Fillion, Economic Development Director, wanted to discuss a new business opportunity.  Commissioner Rush motioned to go into executive session from 10:05 a.m. until 10:35 a.m. to discuss trade sequence with Joe Shepack County Attorney.  The Commissioners opened session back at 10:35 a.m. with no action taken.

 

Rick Nondorf, Road & Bridge Supervisor, reported that the Black Wolf Bridge needs to be replaced because the state has labeled the bridge as structurally obsolete.    If the County would have a large rainfall, the bridge would need to be shut down.  Rick and the Commissioners feel that it is an important bridge to keep open in the County.

 

Tracy Ploutz, Ellsworth County Sheriff, needs air conditioning for the computer room. He wanted to know if he could use the County Building Fund to purchase them.  Commissioners asked the County Clerk to look at the County's Financial Statement and for Tracy to get estimates on the cost of the air conditioning system he is wanting.  He also reported that the water leaking out of walls was finally discovered to be from brass fittings on the water pipes.  The fittings had worn out and it was causing a mist that created the condensation on the walls.
