ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

JULY 27, 2015

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 27^th day of July 2015 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Oller called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda with additions.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Minutes of July 20, 2015.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Chairman Oller signed the waiver letter in support of Domestic Violence Association of Central Kansas to continue to receive Justice Assistance Grant funds for the next year.

 

All three Commissioners accepted their invitation to Public Safety Train Event on August 11th @ 10:00 a.m. at the Salina Depot.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Tracy Ploutz, Ellsworth County Sheriff, reported that water was running down the wall from stove vent.  The roof was ruled out.  Ralph Doubrava thinks there is a leak in cement. 

 

Michelle Brokes, Lindsey Huseman of the County Fair Board along with their attorney Paul Kasper of Peterson & Kasper Law Office, wanted to let the Commissioners know that they were requesting their 2016 budget to make the 4-H fair grow, not to change it.  The Commissioners said they needed Joe's input and they would make a decision then.

 

Rick Nondorf, Road & Bridge Supervisor, met with the Commissioners by their request to address a complaint from Craig Lilak about his curb and guttering being covered up by the Road & Bridge Department.  Mr. Nondorf told them that he met with the Wilson City and Wilson Mayor about the overlay, because Wilson City owns the curb and guttering.  So Mr. Nondorf told them that Mr. Lilak needs to contact the City of Wilson.  Commissioner Oller said he would call Mr. Lilak and let him know.

Chairman Oller adjourned the meeting at 11:30 p.m.
