ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

SEPTEMBER 29, 2014

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 29^th day of September 2014 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Kueser called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Minutes of September 22, 2014.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

No one was present for the Public Forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Roderic Rees, EMS Director, reported he had gone to Topeka to look at a van being offered by Surplus Property.  He found a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander for $10,000 that could be used as a first responder vehicle and he would like approval to purchase the van.  It is included in the 2014 Equipment Reserve budget.  Commissioner Rush moved to authorize purchase of a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander at a cost of $10,000.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.  There will be additional costs for decals, lights and medical equipment.  An ambulance run data report form their software was distributed.  It contained a wealth of information on the service that the Commissioners found very valuable.

 

Commissioner Oller left the meeting at 10:00 a.m. to attend a funeral.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve flu shots for county employee through the Health Department.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the September payroll in the amount of $203,789.57.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the September accounts payable for $128,015.15 plus prewritten warrants for $41,454.51 for a total of $169,469.66.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Kueser adjourned the meeting at 10:45 a.m.
