ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

NOVEMBER 17, 2014

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 17^th day of November 2014 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Kueser called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Minutes of November 10, 2014.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

No one was present for the Public Forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

 

Roderic Rees, EMS Director, asked to go into executive session to discuss non-elected personnel.  Commissioner Kueser moved to go into executive session to discuss non-elected personnel from 10:20 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.  The Commissioners returned to open session at 10:30 a.m. and no action was taken.

 

Commissioner Rush discussed the prominent issues presented at the KAC Conference.  Also, he visited with Terry David, Rice County EMS Director, about coming to Ellsworth County and consulting with the Commissioner and Mr. Rees on staffing needs of the department.  Mr. Rees, Ellsworth County EMS Director was open to the Commissioners suggestion.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve 2014 Added Tax #6-284 in the amount of $62,546.16.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve Abatement #5 in the amount of $657.86.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve Resolution 2014-R-07, A Resolution Establishing
An Advisory Committee Pursuant to K.S.A. 79-41a04.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Kueser adjourned the meeting at 10:30 a.m.
