ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

SEPTEMBER 15, 2014

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 15^th day of September 2014 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Kueser called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 2-0.

 

Commissioner Oller moved to approve the Minutes of September 8, 2014.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

No one was present for the Public Forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Upon the request of Roderic Rees, EMS Director and Gaye Woods, Assistant, Commissioner Kueser moved to go into executive from 9:03 a.m. until 9:25 a.m. to discuss non-elected personnel.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.  The Commissioners returned to open session at 9:25 a.m. and no action was taken.  CPR instructor training and certification is now being offered online and they need to have some additional personnel trained.  Mr. Rees asked if they could use the debit card to pay for the online training and reimburse the general fund from the memorial fund.  The Commissioner approved the online training.

 

Rick Nondorf, Road & Bridge Supervisor, has not received any additional information from the state on the fuel tank.  He went to a pre-construction meeting on the low road bridge and the state is planning to close the low road in the middle of October to put in a new bridge.  The plans are for a 65 day completion.  The school has been notified.  Hopefully, the work on Hwy 140 to Hwy 111 will be done by the time they close the low road.
