ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

JULY 21, 2014

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 21^st day of July 2014 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Kueser called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Minutes of July 14, 2014.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Roger Masse, ECMC Administrator, presented the June financial report showing a loss of $102,460.  At the Board Meeting Don Kozisek was elected Chairman and Mr. Sprick, Vice-Chairman.  In July of 2015, two members will complete their terms and according to policy, will not be eligible to serve again.  ECMC has signed a contract with Central Kansas Mental Health to service clients at the facility.   Also, they are in the process of fine tuning the contract with Salina Regional Health.  Chairman Rush asked about sending five employees to Minnesota for training.  He asked if it would not have been more cost effective to have someone come here and do the training.  Mr. Masse responded that they had checked into that option, however, it was not more cost effective.

Chairman Kueser adjourned the meeting at 10:30 a.m.
