ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

October 7, 2013

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 7th day of October 2013 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

 

 

 

                                                                                                           

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Rush called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda.   Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of September 30, 2013.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Peggy Svaty, thanked the commissioners for letting them paint the office.  She wanted to warn them that her budget might go over because of unforeseen court cases that are still on going.  She assured them that she would do everything she could to stay within the budget.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Teresa Shute, Noxious Weed-Landfill Supervisor, wanted to discuss the many hours they are spending on recycling which is causing time to be taken away from there other duties in the office and landfill.  The Commissioners wanted to know how many hours were devoted to recycling and if there was a need to hire another employee to help with this problem.  Teresa said she would do the research and get back with them.

 

Rick Nondorf, Road & Bridge Supervisor, reported that he had found a work truck that was exactly what he had been looking for to buy.  Commissioners said he should buy it since he has the money in his budget.  Rick will check it out first but he thinks it's a good truck.

 

Roderic Rees, EMS Director, reported his write offs for 2013.   He also reported that Kan Equip and Carrico Implement were letting the EMS borrow a gator for the football season.

KAC Registration (Still no rooms available at Conference Hotel)

 

ADJOURNMENT:
