ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

May 27, 2013

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 27^th day of May at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                   

                                                                                                           

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Rush called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda with an addition. Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Minutes of May 20, 2013.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Rick Kempke, City Plumbing, discussed with the Commissioners the type of air-conditioners that would be needed for the new window replacements.  They will have to be vertical ones.  The Commissioners indicated they wanted to replace them all and that we would have to have ten with nine being placed in service and one for a replacement if needed.  He will check to see if they are available and get back to them with a package price.

 

Roger Masse, ECMC Administrator, reported that the 340-b pharmacy plan has not yet been worked into their financial statement to reflect an accurate accounting.  However, it is in the process.  The physician recruitment is still ongoing but he has nothing to report at this time.  In regards to the financial statement, the 2% reduction due to sequestration is reflected.  They are still under budget for the year and the cash ratio is very good.  The Community Health Assessments are completed and a draft report is in the works.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

There were no old business items.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve Refunding Warrants 75,78 & 79 in the amount of $5,251.62.   Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve Abatements 76, 77 & 80 for $5,433.54.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve a donation of sick leave to Penny VonLehe.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Rush adjourned the meeting at 12:30 p.m.
