ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

April 8, 2013

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 8^th day of April at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                   

                                                                                                           

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Rush called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of March 25, April 1 and April 5, 2013.

Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

No one was present for the Public Forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Upon the request of Sheriff Ploutz, Commissioner Kueser moved to go into executive session to discuss non-elected personnel from 9:05 a.m. until 9:15 a.m.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.  The Commissioners returned to open session at 9:15 a.m. and no action was taken.

 

Teresa Shute, Noxious Weed-Landfill Supervisor, reported that she had requested three bids for replacing the windows in the Noxious Weed office.  At the present time she has only received one.  Commissioner Kueser moved to accept the bid of James Gottschalk for $733.76 to replace  two windows in the Noxious Weed building.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.  Mrs. Shute asked to hire Julie Maddox again for summer help and the Commissioners agreed.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the TMHC Drug & Alcohol Testing Program.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

The Commissioner discussed the proposals from Lifeteam and EagleMed for memberships to be offered to county employees.  The Commissioners decided they would not fund the memberships, however, if the employees want to purchase them and have them deducted as a payroll deduction, they would approve that.  There would be a once a year enrollment time only.  The County Clerk will coordinate the benefit with the employees and air transportation companies.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

There were no new business items.

 

ADJOURNMENT

 

Chairman Rush adjourned the meeting at 10:30 a.m.
