ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

April 1, 2013

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 1^st day of April at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                   

                                                                                                           

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Rush called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 2-0.

 

No one was present for the Public Forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Ross Karlin, Representative for EagleMed, gave a presentation on EagleMed services.  They are part of the AirMed Care Network and have service in approximately 34 states.  At the present time, they cannot offer any reductions in membership rates.  Yearly membership rates are $50 for a 1 member household, $55 for 2 member household and $60 for 3 or more member household.  There are also 3-year and 5-year memberships. 

 

Ronda Kasiska, Health Supervisor, presented updated job descriptions and salary ranges for her employees  for  consideration.

 

Rick Nondorf, Road & Bridge Supervisor, brought the Commissioners up-to-date on the fuel card system.  They are ready for it to be setup and that should take a couple of days.  Presently, he is short four employees and has been informed by the state that obligating funds for the bridge program have been cut.  However, there is a possibility that they could be restored at a later date.  This will put the big bridge replacement scheduled behind. They are in need of a new computer and Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the purchase of a computers from CSI in the amount of $1,776.45.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 2-0.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

There were no old business items.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the March payroll in the amount of $193,829.32.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 2-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the March accounts payable for $126,695.88 plus prewritten warrants for $27,621.75 for a total of $154,317.63.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 2-0.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Rush adjourned the meeting at 11:55 a.m.
