ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

July 30, 2012

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 30^th day of July 2012 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

 

                                                                                                           

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Oller called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda.   Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of July 23, 2012.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

No one was present for the Public Forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Randy Hofmeier, Auditor with Lindburg Vogel Pierce Faris, presented the 2013 budget and amendments for the 2012 General Fund, Hospital Operations and Ellsworth County 911 fund for publication.  Commissioner Rush moved to publish the 2013 budget and 2012 amended budgets as presented and set a hearing date of August 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Teresa Shute, Noxious Weed-Landfill Supervisor, reported they had to buy a new window air-conditioner for the landfill.  Cashco has requested four bins to be located at their business on a regular basis.  Bins would have to be either made or purchased.  The last bins were made by the correctional facility at a cost of $1,200.  Another possibility would be to have Cashco negotiate directly with the recycling facility in Beverly.  The Commissioners suggested to Mrs. Shute that she talk with Beverly and also Cashco and try to work out an agreement that would be best for all.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

There was no action on the Burn Ban.  It is still in effect.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the July payroll in the amount of $173,500.35.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Oller adjourned the meeting at 10:30 a.m.
