ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING

                                                                                 

MINUTES

 

AUGUST 8, 2011

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 8^th day of August 2011 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                           

                                                                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Kueser called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Agenda as printed.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Rush moved to approve the Minutes of July 25, 2011.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Billy Kryger, Pastor of the Smoky Hill Baptist Church in Ellsworth, was in attendance but did not wish to address the Commissioners.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Teresa Shute, Noxious Weed-Landfill Supervisor, reported that Kan-Equip would only give $2,200 as a trade-in on the old tractor.  The Commissioners agreed that rather than trade it in, they would sell it outright.   The tractor will be delivered in three weeks to a month with the loader.   Chairman Kueser asked that she inquire about the warranty.  The recycling trailer came back from Kanopolis this weekend and it was a mess.  They will work with the City Clerk to get information to the citizen about what is accepted and what is not.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

The Commissioners briefly discussed the Burn Ban and asked that it be put on the Agenda for next week.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

There were no new business items.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Kueser adjourned the meeting at 9:40 a.m.
