ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSIONER MEETING

 

MINUTES

 

January 3, 2011

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 3^rd day of January 2011 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                           

                                                                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Rush called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda with corrections. Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of December 27, 2010.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

No one was present for the public forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Jan Andrews, Ellsworth County Clerk, presented a proposal for purchase of two computers for her office at a cost of $2,885.  This would also included labor to setup the state election and appraisal systems. The computers being replaced were purchased in 2004.  Commissioner Rush moved to authorize the purchase of two computers for the Clerk's office at a cost of $2,885 to be taken from the 2010 budget.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Sheriff Ploutz had an appointment, but did not have anything he needed to discuss at this time.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

There were no old business items.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the December payroll in the amount of $210,435.84.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the December accounts payable for $350,491.99 and the manual warrants for $48,928.37 for a total of $399,420.36.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve 2010 Tax Adds 21-41 in the amount of $828.70 and 2010 Tax Abatement 42 in the amount of $33.50.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to accept the resignation of Shirley Donley as Empire Township Treasurer and appoint, as recommended by the township board, Keith Anderson as Empire Township Treasurer.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

The Commissioners reviewed the various dues and insurance premiums and will approve them through the regular accounts payable system.

Chairman Rush adjourned the meeting at 10:45 a.m.
