ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSIONER MEETING

 

MINUTES

 

NOVEMBER 1, 2010

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 1^st day of November 2010 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                           

                                                                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Rush called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda as printed. Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of October 25, 2010.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

No was present for the Public Forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Rick Nondorf, Road & Bridge Supervisor, presented bids for a motor grader.  All the bids included a trade-in of the 2000 Galion.  There was a bid on a Case 865, Komatus 655, John Deere 670 and a John Deere 770.  After a lengthy discussion, Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the purchase of the John Deere 770 motor grader in the amount of $159,953.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

There were no old business items.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the October payroll in the amount of $171,770.01.

Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the October accounts payable for $165,886.13 and prewritten warrants $11,302.01 for a total of $177,188.14.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Oller will represent the Commissioners at the LEPP Planning Meeting in Salina on November 3, 2010.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Rush adjourned the meeting at 11:00 a.m.
