ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSIONER MEETING

 

MINUTES

 

AUGUST 9, 2010

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 9^th day of August 2010 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                           

                                                                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Rush called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda as printed. Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of August 2, 2010.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

No one was present for the Public Forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Upon the request of Michelle Maze, EMS Director, Commissioner Kueser moved to go into executive session to discuss non-elected personnel from 9:02 a.m. until 9:15 a.m.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.  The Commissioners returned to open session at 9:15 a.m. and no action was taken.  Mrs. Maze presented a financial report for July showing that they had collections o 134,359.31.  The report also contained the current balance for accounts receivable and insurance write-offs.  Mrs. Maze will be teaching a EMT class at the high school this semester and will also have a night class.

 

At 10:00 a.m. Chairman Rush called the 2011 Budget Hearing to order.  No one was in attendance.  Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the 2011 budget as presented.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

The bid for washing the Courthouse windows was tabled until next week.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Commissioner Oller moved to appoint Kermit Rush as the Voting Delegate for the Kansas Association of Counties, KWORCC and KCAMP annual meetings.  Commissioner Kueser seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.  Commissioner Kueser moved to appoint Albert Oller as alternate to the above mentioned annual meetings.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Rush adjourned the meeting at 10:15 a.m.
