ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSIONER MEETING

 

MINUTES

 

JUNE 28, 2010

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 28^th day of June 2010 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                           

                                                                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Rush called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda with an addition. Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of June 21, 2010.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

No one was present for the Public Forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Judge Mike Keeley, John Isern, Sabrina Chism and Peggy Svaty, representing the District Court, presented their budget for 2011.  They requested the same amount as 2010, $80,000.  Even though the filings are up, they have been able to take some cost saving measures enabling them to reduce some of their costs. 

 

Rick Nondorf, Road & Bridge Supervisor, reported he had received word from the State that the Salt Mine Road will be done and probably this year.  It will be done on a cost share basis of 80/20 with our cost being approximately $82,000.  Mr. Nondorf presented his budget proposal for 2011 of $1,959,060, a reduction of $3,580. 

 

Ronda Kasiska, Health Supervisor, presented her budget request for 2011 of $258,737, an increase of $5,299.  She also requested $20,000 to be expended from the Health Capital Outlay fund for 2011.

 

Geneva Schneider, County Treasurer, requested a budget of $108,500 for 2011, an increase of $4,150.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

There were no old business items.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the June payroll in the amount of $185,327.86.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve Abatement #132 for $12.08.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Rush adjourned the meeting at 11:00 a.m.
