ELLSWORTH COUNTY COMMISSIONER MEETING

 

MINUTES

 

May 17, 2010

 

The Board of Ellsworth County Commissioners convened this 17^th day of May 2010 at the Ellsworth County Courthouse. 

 

                                                            Members Present:

                                                            Albert W. Oller, 1^st District Commissioner

                                                            Kermit Rush, 2^nd District Commissioner

                                                            Terry L. Kueser, 3^rd District Commissioner

                                                           

                                                                                                                       

OPENING BUSINESS:

 

Chairman Rush called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Agenda as printed. Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the Minutes of May 10, 2010.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

No one was present for the Public Forum.

 

APPOINTMENTS:

 

Ronda Kasiska, Health Supervisor, asked to have the county pay the $10 registration for her team of four to participate in the Ellsworth County Cancer Triathlon.   Commissioner Kueser moved to approve the payment of registration totaling $40.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Tracy Ploutz, Sheriff, discussed the new burn policy with the Commissioners.  At the present time, the fire chiefs are not complying with the new policy.   All fire chiefs must follow the resolutions in order for it to work.  Commissioner Oller agreed to visit with the fire chiefs.

 

Rick Nondorf, Road & Bridge Supervisor, discussed the salt mine road and the low road that was just finished last week.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

 

There were no old business items.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

Discussion on replacing two trees on the courthouse yard was held but it was decided to table the issue until another time.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to approve Abatements 128 & 129 in the amount of $166.02.  Commissioner Oller seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

Commissioner Kueser moved to give $200 to the local organization for Silver Haired Legislator expenses.  Commissioner Rush seconded the motion.  Motion carried 3-0.

 

ADJOURNMENT:

 

Chairman Rush adjourned the meeting at 10:45 a.m.
